The people we built Remix for have spent decades being exceptional at one thing. The title, the track record, the reputation. And then a quieter question arrives: now that you can do almost anything, what should you actually do?

There is no shortage of advice for starting a career. There is almost none for this. The usual answers, slow down or step back, miss the point. This is not about doing less. It is about choosing, with intention, where your time, capital, and judgment go next.

So we created a place for people asking that question at the same altitude. A curated peer group, a practical framework, and the tools to build a next chapter on your terms rather than by default. Optionality is the reward. Using it well is the work.

Remix is not advice from the sidelines. It comes from two people navigating this chapter themselves. Matt Anestis spent more than fifteen years as a Managing Director at BlackRock, most recently as Global Head of Investment Process and Operating Risk for its private markets business, and before that was a partner at the Boston Consulting Group. He now teaches at Columbia. Tara Walpert Levy spent more than a decade as a senior leader at Google and YouTube, and is now choosing, deliberately and on her own timeline, how to spend her attention across the people, work, and causes she cares about most.
